A Bit of an Intro

Hello, my name is Brett Buddin, and I'm a 23 year-old programmer residing in Cary, NC. I build websites and custom web applications; mostly in Ruby. I work at McKinney and actively serve the design community as a member of AIGA Raleigh's Interactive Committee.

About this Site

Intraspirit was born in January of 2006 as a free domain registration. The name came (almost) as a flash—invented after about 5 minutes of brainstorming. Over the years this domain has served as my own personal sandbox and a place for me to experiment with whatever I'm interested in at the moment. I have, for quite some time now, wanted to start writing about some of the things and ideas I find intriguing in computing and design. In the current iteration of Intraspirit, you'll can expect just that. Expect to see:

  • Essays about programming, consumer technology and design
  • Code snippets
  • Small libraries I've written during the course of my projects
  • Occasional dry humor

I've chosen, for several reasons I won't get into, not to include comments on any of my essays; so if you feel the need to comment on anything, I urge you to post your responses on your own website or shoot an email at the address in the left column.
